Debut success for Lansky

LANSKY shaped like a promising prospect with victory in a six-furlong novices stakes at Windsor tonight.

The Dark Angel colt, owned by Phoenix Thoroughbreds, was sent off as the 15/8 favourite for his career debut.

There was a hint or two of understandable inexperience on his 'first day ay school' as he was slow to break.

But Lansky received the benefit of a cultured ride from jockey Gerald Mosse, who gradually got him into contention and in position to challenge Jupiter with over a furlong to go.

The Shalfleet horse asserted where it mattered and always had Jupiter held through the closing strides to score by a neck.

Trainer Jeremy Noseda said: "It was a nice performance and I am absolutely delighted.

"He's a nice horse in the making although still immature. But he has got a future."
