Back to the Turf

SHALFLEET sends out its first domestic Turf runner of 2018 this afternoon when Zain Hana contests the Group 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket.

The Shamardal filly made a winning debut over six furlongs last August but this step into Stakes company will present a much stiffer challenge.

Trainer Jeremy Noseda said: "I have been pleased with her and she has done well physically over the winter.

"I feel she will improve for her first race of the season - it will tell us more about the campaign ahead. John Egan rides."

Tonight at Kempton the stable will be represented by Bold Warrior who is having his first career start.

The son of Declaration Of War will line up in the second division of a seven-furlong maiden. Jockey Jamie Spencer has been booked.

Jeremy added: "He is a solid horse and ready to start out."
