Cenotaph impresses in second Chelmsford win

CENOTAPH was hoof perfect as he bolted up by five lengths in the feature six-furlong handicap at Chelmsford City last night.

The War Front gelding followed up last month’s success on his first start for trainer Jeremy Noseda with an even more convincing victory in the hands of jockey Ryan Moore.

Sent off the 5/4 favourite, Cenotaph – in the colours of Mrs Doreen Tabor – was produced shortly after the turn into the home straight.

He sustained a high cruising speed in sweeping aside the challenge of his six rivals to win as he pleased by five lengths.

Jeremy said: “It was a good effort by the horse. It seems he has found a bit of form and is on an upward curve.

“I was delighted how he won the race in such a good manner.”
