Garrus provides first Turf winner of 2019

GARRUS gave Jeremy Noseda a fast start to the Turf season with victory in a five-furlong handicap at Nottingham.

The grey colt made it three wins from six races with a polished performance in the hands of jockey Ryan Moore.

Garrus justified his favourite’s tag with a fine display, travelling on the front end alongside Broken Spear.

The son of Acclamation was shaken up over a furlong from home and gave a willing response, sustaining his challenge to win by a length and a quarter from Pocket Dynamo.

Jeremy said: “Garrus has run a good, solid race – nearly, if not, a lifetime best.

“He will aimed at York’s Dante’s meeting where the plan is to contest a five-furlong Listed race.”
