Keystroke in action in Dubai

KEYSTROKE will be campaigned on a dirt surface for the first time when he contests a seven-furlong handicap at Meydan tomorrow.

The six-year-old ran creditably enough three weeks ago in Dubai, finishing in mid-division on the turf without getting near enough to land a serious blow.

Front Runner Racing’s son of Pivotal is now switched to the dirt, taking on nine rivals from stall four. He will be ridden by James Doyle.

Trainer Jeremy Noseda said: “Thursday will be Keystroke’s first race on the dirt and my gut says he will handle it.

“The horse is in great shape and goes into the race in top nick. My concern is that it appears to be a speed-favouring track and he is a come-from-behind horse.”
