Perfect Hustler in Ascot win

PERFECT Hustler secured a deserved second career success with a typically game display in a seven-furlong handicap at Ascot.

The Jimmy Creed gelding, owned by Nick Watts, has now been first or second in all of his last five starts.

Prior to this latest assignment he’d finished second on his previous two outings.

Stepped back up in trip, he asserted well for jockey Adam Kirby to take the lead in the final furlong.

The favourite Prevent came to challenge but the Jeremy Noseda-trained 10/1 shot held on well to score by a neck.

Jeremy said: “He’s such a consistent horse and thoroughly deserved to get his head back in front again.

“Hopefully there is more to come from him over the summer.

“Despite the trials and tribulations of our season, Perfect Hustler’s win keeps Shalfleet striking at 27 per cent, which shows the professionalism of the great team we have here.”
