Shalfleet back in action

SHALFLEET is set for its first runner in a month with Laughing Stranger declared for a race at Windsor on Monday evening.

Some horses in Jeremy Noseda’s string have been compromised by a low-grade illness in the last month.

But the signs are much more positive now, as indicated by the gallops exercise undertaken on Saturday morning.

Jeremy was more than satisfied with how the horses worked at first lot on the Watered Gallop on Racecourse Side.

Later on he also was pleased with how a group of unraced two-year-olds stretched out on the Al Bahathri.

Jeremy said: “The horses haven’t been right but I’m sure they are on the way back now. I was happy with those we worked this morning.

“Laughing Stranger will head to Windsor on Monday and there will be a few more to run over the next week or so as we start to build back up.”
