Zain Hana strikes at Nottingham

ZAIN Hana returned to winning ways in convincing style at Nottingham last night

The Shamardal filly was desperately unlucky not to score on her last start when she was pipped on the post at Newmarket.

But the outcome was never in doubt through the closing exchanges of her latest assignment, a six-furlong fillies’ handicap.

Jockey Ryan Moore asked her to quicken approaching the final furlong and she picked up well to surge to a four and a half length victory.

It was her second career success in five starts but her first since debuting at Yarmouth last year.

The victory kept Jeremy Noseda’s string firing at an excellent 27 per cent for the season.

Jeremy said: “I was very pleased to see Zain Hana win as I felt she was unlucky not to do so at Newmarket last time.

“She moved forward from that and now we will have a look at a race at Newmarket a week on Friday and also one at Pontefract two days after that.”
